Unique Mechanism Review Map
Use this decision map while reviewing an explanation in a VSL or ad. Its purpose is to separate what the message claims from what its sources establish. A compelling explanation is a research lead, not proof that a product works or an ad converts.
Try it on one research note
Take one mechanism statement from a creative you are researching. Write its problem explanation, proposed solution and promised benefit as separate sentences. Attach a source to each causal link. If the evidence supports an ingredient but not the actual formulation or outcome, hold that claim instead of borrowing certainty from the broader topic. Record the decision and the missing evidence before drafting.
